Title: The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs: Incompetence, Corruption, & Suicide

Background
For this map, I was tasked with telling a story by creating a long-form infographic on a topic of my choice. The only requirements for the project were to include at least 1 multi-variate map and at least 1 visualization of data in the form of a chart, graph, etc.

Description
For my graphic, I chose to take a closer look at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. After years of hearing of the rampant corruption and embedded incompetence within the agency, I wanted to try and visualize the causes and ultimate effects of the this issue in relation to the overall well-being of our veterans.

Styling Choices
Because of the severity and darkness of the topic, I chose to go with a pitch black background with a military like font typed over it to try and convey that gravitas to the reader.
