Short-Term Goals:
As of this moment, I have completed my master's degree in cartography and GIS at the University of Wisconsin in Madison in December this 2020. Following this I have found employment with a New Jersey healthcare clinic involving database management and maintenance, utilizing skills I learned while practicing cartography. I have also put aside time to substitute teach at my local school district, where teachers are currently very shortstaffed. Looking to the near future, I intend to find a job teaching english abroad, likely some place in Asia.
Long-Term Aspirations:
The future I envision for myself at the moment is one where I begin my cartography career building skills in the workplace that will help me create maps that have a positive effect on the world around me. Once I accomplish that, I intend to give back what I have learned over the years to the generations below me by becoming a teacher of geography and history.
